Audience Experience Layer

This is a very precise way of saying “a website”.

The Audience Experience Renderer is the application used to create and serve the web pages that make up the Property Domains.

Vox Media has several such systems; Pinnacle, Popsugar, Unison, Duet, Wordpress, and Clay. These systems are a mix of Headless and Headed in relation to their own CMS.

The end-state goal is for any Audience Experience Layer to be able to render any peice of content from any Microservice or CMS.
